Wu Minxia was once the leading figure of the Chinese Diving Team. Since the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she has represented China in Olympic diving events for four consecutive editions, winning a total of 5 Olympic gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal, making her one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the Chinese Diving Team. She participated in the "Big Three World Diving Events" (the Olympic Games, FINA World Cup and FINA World Championships) 20 times in a row, securing 20 world-class gold medals and 32 medals throughout her career. She repeatedly set new world records in the women's 3m springboard individual and synchronized events, maintaining a world-class competitive standard. Her sportsmanship of "perseverance and pursuit of excellence" is highly aligned with the philosophy of the "Emergency Youth" initiative, which advocates staying calm in the face of danger and responding scientifically.

The ceremony was hosted by Liu Xiaochuan, Vice President of Emergency General Hospital. At the ceremony, Ambassador Wu Minxia stated that as a mother of two children, she is deeply aware of the importance of safety for children and hopes to provide them with adequate care and guidance. Going forward, she will leverage her positive sportsmanship to actively promote the initiative, guide young people to learn proper emergency first-aid knowledge, and contribute to building a safer and better future.

The participating representatives conducted in-depth exchanges on the event. Wu Di, Director of the National Research Center for Emergency Medicine and President of Emergency General Hospital, stated that as the future of the nation, young people receiving systematic emergency education and enhancing their self-rescue and mutual-rescue capabilities constitute a key component of improving the whole nation’s emergency and safety literacy and realizing the national rejuvenation dream.

Zhang Xudong from the Career Development Center of the Red Cross Society of China noted that the exemplary role of public figures such as Olympic champions enables young people to understand the profound significance of emergency care while internalizing the spirit of striving for excellence, and to foster awareness of life safety from an early age.

Leng Yanbing, Leader of the Administrative Committee of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, commented that "Emergency Youth" serves as an important platform for advancing international emergency medical exchanges under the SCO framework, which will surely promote the sharing and development of international emergency education experience.

Following the exchange meeting, a signing and letter of appointment presentation ceremony was held. Ambassador Wu Minxia signed a series of "Emergency Youth" cultural and creative products as a souvenir, and interacted with the young participants who were taking part in the "Emergency Youth" activities.
